Mary Minor DVM, Veterinarian/ Owner
Dr. Minor is a 5th generation Nevadan from a local cattle ranch family. She graduated from Dayton High School as a 4 sport letterman, valedictorian and senior class president. She was a Gold Star 4-H participant, completing over 100 projects. She graduated from California Baptist University, Magna Cum Lade. While attending school she played women’s intercollegiate Basketball and was team Captain. Once deciding to become a veterinarian she furthered her education by attending pre-veterinary school at the University of Nevada-Reno and then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
She first practiced veterinary medicine in Modesto California as an associate veterinarian. In 1999, she returned to Nevada and bought her first practice in Dayton. In 2004, she designed and built the new hospital at the current location. She has a special interest in geriatric wellness and orthopedic surgery. Her focus is on preventative wellness for family companions. In 2005, she was surprised with the honor of Alumni of the Year from California Baptist University.
Dr. Minor has always been active in supporting and mentoring the youth in the Dayton Community, including awarding scholarships. She has a passion for the Pony Express, sheep dogging and Nevada agriculture.
Janette Miller DVM, Veterinarian
Dr. Miller graduated from Purdue University with a DVM degree. Moved to California, and have been a practicing veterinarian all her adult life. She co-owned a veterinary hospital in Camino California for 14 years. In 2010 her husband accepted a job at NAS Fallon, and they relocated to Fallon Nevada.
Dr. Miller states," veterinary medicine is challenging, demanding, and fun. I can't imagine life without pets, and their owners." She currently has 3 dogs, 5 cats, 3 horses, and a giant African tortoise.
Sarah Vining DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sarah Vining was born and raised in Connecticut on a small farm with sheep, a couple of horses, dogs, and cats. She grew up involved in 4-H and was active in sports. She did her undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut in Animal Science, then attended the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada and got her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She and her husband moved to Fallen NV in 2013. They currently have a few sheep and 3 border collies ( Gnat, Twig, and Zelia), and are enjoying the area.
Gregg Meyer DVM, Veterinarian
Dr. Meyer has been a private practitioner for 41 years including 13 years of emergency and critical care.
